Pada tanggal 5 Mei 2005 dia menikah dengan Minami Takayama, seorang penyanyi dan pengisi suara Conan di dalam anime yang diadaptasi dari karya Aoyama Gosho, yaitu Detektif Conan.[1] Pada tanggal 10 Desember 2007, keduanya bercerai.[2]

- Ini merupakan cerita manga Aoyama yang pertama yang menceritakan tentang seorang anak laki-laki jenius bernama Yutaka Takai yang mesin waktunya mengirimkan cintanya melewati 2 tahun.
- Yaiba (1988–1993)
- Ini adalah seri manga sebanyak 24 volume tentang petualanagan seorang samurai muda bernama Yaiba Kurogane. Seri ini selanjutnya diadaptasi menjadi seri anime sebanyak 52 episode.
- 3rd Base 4th (4番サード Yonban Sādo) (1993)
- Ini adalah seri manga sebanyak 1 volume yang menceritakan seorang anak laki-laki bernama Shigeo Nagashima seorang pemain bisbol di tim SMA-nya. Suatu hari, dia membeli sebuah tongkat pemukul ajaib dari sebuah toko olahraga yang membuatnya memukul setiap bola yang dilempar.

- Ini adalah seri manga sebanyak 4 volume yang menceritakan petualangan Kid si pencuri, seorang pencuri yang menggunakan kemampuan sulap dan menyamar di setiap pencuriannya.
